Alright - it's been three weeks now since we officially began the process of moving into our new building. Between sporadic vacations, meetings, and things not going the right way, I have to admit I expected to be 'done' moving by now. It's a slow process and one that I think will continue to happen in chunks for the next few months, to be honest. But I've learned one thing from the digital world: I might stop, but it never does.
Case in point: our awesome Discord community kept up the 'Question of the Day' posts while I was in Jamaica last week. They kept interacting, engaging, and building relationships with one another while I was unplugging from my phone in another country. That's incredible. And terrifying. The reality of what we're doing at Checkpoint is that it is constantly changing, moving, and evolving on the daily. If you miss a week, then you are likely missing a lot. It's fast-paced and I am loving every minute of it.
And here's the thing - it's only getting faster. We have some huge plans for the rest of the year. There will be at least one major cultural shift each month. By the time Advent comes around this year, we won't look the same. It's easy to get left behind if you're only catching the occasional stream on Twitch or YouTube sermon video. I want to take a quick moment and make a suggestion: if you're holding off, join our Discord ASAP.
I know that Discord is an unfamiliar place. It's hard to learn something new. But I am standing here like a prophet and saying: it's time. It's time to take that next step. It's time to join our Discord. It's time to really get started with what we're doing at Checkpoint. That's where community is happening. That's where we are growing. That's where we are 24/7, laughing, smiling, and enjoying time together.
